Writer    Editor    Proofreader

‘Words are the clothes thoughts wear.’
 Samuel Beckett

When it comes to language, there are times for jeans and times for a business suit.  And then there are the days when we have to put on a uniform.

As a writer I am not here to dazzle readers with wordy cleverness or drown them in information and jargon: it is my job to connect with the needs and concerns of the audience, with the right tone and in the right language.

About me
I wasn't always a writer.

I spent over 15 years in international brand management and noticed that the communications that were persuasive and well researched were the ones that truly stood out. It has given me an all-round perspective; I write with a clear understanding of objectives, brand identity and customer need.

Over the last decade or so I’ve written a lot of copy, from the deadly serious to the downright silly.  My client list spans small creative start-ups and NHS Foundation Trusts, with work ranging from short retail headlines to academic health research.  My words have been used online, in print, outdoor, in film and radio commercial scripts and on walls at launch events.  And on inflight sick bags.  Squeezing a chuckle from the sufferers of motion sickness remains one of my biggest writing challenges to date.
Writing Services
From the blank page to the red pen.  And everything in between.

At this moment you might be staring at an empty page. You could’ve been there since this time last week. If you’ve got as far as considering the merits of tackling your accounts instead, then perhaps we should talk.

I can step in at any stage of your writing project: whether the page is completely blank, filled with ideas, or simply needs the fresh eyes of a trained proofreader, I’m a one-stop shop and can flex my service and rates to suit.

The most important thing is finding the words that will work hard, and best, for your business.
